The time is here to make those great Oregon vacations plans. Have you made your plans to visit Oregon this year? There is much to do in Oregon’s seven regions with all its diversity. Embrace Oregon loves showing off Oregon to all its visitors.

Just a couple weeks ago we were on the Oregon Coast. Now you may think that the winter time is not a good time to visit the Oregon Coast. But, it is a great time of the year as well as the summer. Many people love to see the stormy waves coming up on the beach. To stroll the beach for shells and treasure that wash ashore after a stormy night.

There are miles of beaches for you to discover on the Oregon Coast.

The wildlife that appears out of the blue for you to discover can be a highlight. Just like the picture of two Bald Eagles on the beach looking at the ocean. I know this picture is a little blurry because I was a little to far away when I took it. What a wonderful discovery.

So, matter what your plans are for an Oregon vacation. We are here to help you embrace a marvelous time.

It doesn’t matter what time of the year it is to have fun at the beach. We have fun whether it rains or shines when visiting the Oregon Coast. Many folks like to visit the coast during coastal winter storms for watching the waves and then comb the beaches when the weather calms.

DSCN6680The weather this week has been warm in the mid 50’s and we saw a little sun, misty showers, gray clouds and some blue skies. There were not many people on the beach on this February weekday. It was like a private beach just for you to enjoy. Oregon has miles of sandy beaches that are open to the public and it never seems too crowded. DSCN6688

On a journey to the Central Oregon Coast. We enjoyed Boiler Bay Wayside which is between Lincoln City and just outside of Depoe Bay, Oregon. There was lots of waves and very little wind. A great day for being at the coast.

While we enjoyed the view of the ocean we also had the opportunity to watch the local fisherman fishing at Boiler Bay Wayside. We were a bit early for they were just getting started with their day.

These fisherman are fishing for rock cod and sea bass.

It does not matter what time of the year it is, the Oregon Coast is a wonderful place to visit.  Whether you like walking on the sandy beaches and collecting sea shells or setting in a hotel room watching the stormy waves roll in, winter can be a great time to visit the Central Oregon Coast.

The weather is stormy in Oregon! We have been invaded by a left over tropical storm that has moved in from the Pacific Ocean to dampen our spirits. It has caused rain and wind but, it can not stop us Oregonian’s from having fun.

Yesterday we visited three wineries and today we will do the same. We post our pictures on our Embrace Oregon.com Facebook page. There is no stopping us from having a good time.

There are many things you can do in stormy weather: Head to the Oregon Coast for wave watching, go to the movies, take a tour with us to Salem for a fun Heritage Tour or go with us on a wine tour. This is just a few of the many things you can do.

Today we will pickup guests at the McMinnville Red Lion Inn at 11:00 am. If you are there you can go with us for a discounted rate of $45.00 per person. We have the snacks and the vehicle with a driver. Come and have fun with us.

We look forward to seeing you!
