Just a couple weeks ago we were on the Oregon Coast. Now you may think that the winter time is not a good time to visit the Oregon Coast. But, it is a great time of the year as well as the summer. Many people love to see the stormy waves coming up on the beach. To stroll the beach for shells and treasure that wash ashore after a stormy night.


There are miles of beaches for you to discover on the Oregon Coast.




The wildlife that appears out of the blue for you to discover can be a highlight. Just like the picture of two Bald Eagles on the beach looking at the ocean. I know this picture is a little blurry because I was a little to far away when I took it. What a wonderful discovery.

On a journey to the Central Oregon Coast. We enjoyed Boiler Bay Wayside which is between Lincoln City and just outside of Depoe Bay, Oregon. There was lots of waves and very little wind. A great day for being at the coast.

While we enjoyed the view of the ocean we also had the opportunity to watch the local fisherman fishing at Boiler Bay Wayside. We were a bit early for they were just getting started with their day.

These fisherman are fishing for rock cod and sea bass.

It does not matter what time of the year it is, the Oregon Coast is a wonderful place to visit.  Whether you like walking on the sandy beaches and collecting sea shells or setting in a hotel room watching the stormy waves roll in, winter can be a great time to visit the Central Oregon Coast.
